Third time is a charm...

You are going to think that I fell off my bonkers posting three different posts in one day.  Hopefully this won't mean that I will not be back for a while. LOL

I've been forgetting to let you know that Laetitia is a celebrity. LOL Yup, the owner of this fun shop for girls where Laetitia celebrated her birthday last December and where we went back to have a photo shoot has asked my permission to use one of Laetitia's picture in her latest ad to promote her new hairdressing and portfolio services.  Can you say excited!!! That's how Laetitia was feeling when she heard the news.  Morgane was a bit crushed seeing that she had great pictures of that day too but since the owner has a daughter of Morgane's age, it was easy to understand that she would chose her to feature in the ad.

Ok... omg! Strike what I've just written. I just went on the web site to get the address to link it and I just saw that Morgane has been added to the page too.  I can't wait for her to see this! She is going to be so excited too! =D  THANK YOU Mademoiselle Pinki!!!

Pinki_Prix_Studio2

If you are ever in Montreal or on the South Shore and have a daughter or need to shop for a little girly girl, Mademoiselle Pinki is an awesome place to go! And the owner, Violaine, is a real sweetheart!

And let's try this one too while we're at it!

Two blogging scrap buddies of mine, Claude (Imzadi) and Mel (Miss Mel) posted this tag on their blog and I had to play along with them.  I've always liked those Flickr mosaïcs that I see on many blogs and I thought it was a cool opportunity to do one myself.

Sorry but I can't give credit where credit is due because sadly, I have no idea on how to link the info in here. =(

If you want to join in the fun, type your answer to each of the following questions into Flickr search. Using only the images that appear on the first page, choose your favorite image, then copy and paste each the URL's into the mosaic maker (3 columns, 4 rows). ( I totally copied and pasted these directions from Mel's blog, just like Claude! LOL).

Enjoy!

Here are the questions:

1. What is your first name? (Nathalie)

2. What is your favorite food? (lobster)

3. What high school did you attend? (Eulalie-Durocher)

4. What is your favorite color? (kakhi)

Good thing that my girls didn't inherite some of my genes!

We went to La Ronde yesterday with the girls.  For once, there wasn't three miles long lines for every rides and armed with our "Flash pass" we (meaning the others) were able to do many of the big rides for a change.

I have two big girls! I was so amazed to see them go into the bigger rides and not being scared! Wow! Morgane really astounded me when she went into the Vertigo with Patrick and came back with a huge smile on her face! LOL I, on the other hand, was almost fainting just looking at my baby in there.  Just have a look for yourself:  the Vertigo

Earlier on, Laetitia had ridden the Goliath with her father.  Morgane was mortified not to be able to ride along with them but she's still too short for that one.  But I don't think that Laetitia will be going back soon to that one. She was a real trooper but it was a bit much for her.  Have a look at what she was facing (if you can... my heart skips a beat just looking at the video and I'm not even in the ride! LOL): the Goliath

So needless to say, that after facing this one, some of the other rides looked really tamed for her! LOL She didn't want to go with Patrick and Morgane in the Vertigo though, and neither in the Vampire. I think she had her share of extreme sensation for the day.  Even if you gave me a fortune, I wouldn't get close to any of those... I'm such a coward. LOL

So my friends keep tagging me even if I'm not a very good player. LOL  The latest is Barb.  I promise that I'll try to be a better blogger from now on! Anyway, it's almost September now and we'll be back into our regular schedule very soon.

Thanks for stopping by! =D

Blog tags

The past few months I have been tagged a few times by my blogging friends.  I wasn't a good blogging friend myself though since I didn't have time to answer them. So this is my formal apology. Sorry guys!!

Since my life is moving at a slower pace these days, I thought it could be a good time to try to do at least one of them. LOL  So here are my answers to my friend Robyn's tag, the letter game, to which I need to answer every questions with a word starting with the first letter of my name:

What is your name?  Nathalie

A 4 letter word: noun

A boy's name: Nathan

A girl's name: Noémi

Occupation: neurologist

A color: navy

Something you wear: nail polish

A beverage: non alcoholic beer

A food: noodles

Something found in a bathroom: narcotics (doesn't everyone have some in theirs?)

A place: Norway

A reason for being late: numbness in a leg? (ok, kind of far fetch, I agree but I couldn't find anything better!!! LOL)

Something you shout: "No way!"

Boo hoo hoo!!!

Vacation time is over... =(  I just can't believe that a full month has already come and gone. On Monday morning we will have to get up bright and early to get back to work and to day camp.

I don't think that the girls realize yet that it means no more late nights and waking up whenever they want.  I don't think the grown-ups realize that it means no more late nights and waking up whenever they want!!! LOL

Oh well, all good things must come to an end that they say. We still have one last weekend to enjoy, and hopefully, the next few weekends before school starts will be sunny and warm so we can enjoy a few more outings before things get back into "serious mode."

We managed to do a couple more things like spend some time in the Old Port.  We also went to Ceramic café, and the girls did some camping in the backyard a couple of nights too and enjoyed themselves.

The changing weather that we've been having lately is more prone to rainbow sightings.  Here's one that we saw the other night when we went to see one of Laetitia's friend soccer practice:

And a little self-portrait taken the other day at La Ronde. Didn't bring the big SLR with me that day and I have to say that those little cameras make it so much easier to do it! LOL

Have a great weekend! =D

Sooooo cool!

At the beginning of the month, it was Scrapbook Centrale's DT Reveal. For August, we were working with the Simply Luxe monochromatic lines from Luxe Designs. Everyone came up with awesome pages in the gallery. Words of this came up to the hears of Emily Adams from Luxe Designs, who came to check things out and was so pleased with what she saw that she actually talked about us on the Luxe Blog.

And she actually took the time to go through the DT gallery and comment on every layouts that we did. This was really exciting!!! It's so much fun to get recognition like this from people on "higher levels" like this. She had some great comments on my pages and cards?too.

Speaking of which, here they are:

Yo man (SC DT août 08)

U love cupcakes (SC DT Août 08)

Nuage de tulle (SC DT Août 08)

Cartes fête (SC DT Août 08)

Still have a couple of days left of vacation. The forecast for the rest of the week is really not looking good. =( I would have loved to finish this off "en beauté"... Oh well, I'll have to check out what kind of activities we could do with the girls inside, instead of outside.

We managed to go to take advantage of the only nice day for the week by going to La Ronde. We bought an half-season family pass so we will try to go at least another time. Since it was a nice day, there was lots of line-ups everywhere. The girls were able to do the Splash and get all wet. (Laetitia even stood on the bridge to get even wetter! That's a change for this girl who couldn't stand having any water on her clothing and keep them on! LOL) We also did the Pitoune twice and the Bumper cars. The girls did some of the kiddie rides too. Even if they are growing up, they still like those. And a visit to La Ronde wouldn't be the same without a few rides on the carousel! =)

I didn't bring the big camera with me this time around. I had the little Sony with me though and took some pics. I still have to check them out to see if there was anything decent in there! LOL

I'm still hoping that the sun will come out... Please keep your fingers crossed for me. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! =D

Still on the go...

Still trying to make the most of the not so great weather we've been having since we came back from Cuba.  We can't go very far these days because we are getting our new shed on Monday and we needed (well... Pat with some help from his dad) had to prepare the ground for our new acquisition.

The girls have been talking about going horseback riding and taking lessons for a while now and I thought that it could be fun for them to try it out.  I haven't been horseback riding for ages now and the last few times I went, the experience wasn't very memorable...

Anyway, I found a place in Marieville where you can go horseback riding, which is not an easy task, contrary to what I thought.  There are a lot of places where you can take lessons but not a lot where you can actually go on a ride.  The weather cooperated with us but not the mosquitos and dear flies... *sigh*  Those poor horses had tons of them everywhere.

It was a fun ride. It was a too slow of a pace for the grown-ups but the girls were happy with their first experience. =D  They want to go back, which we probably will.  The day didn't start up very well though since we had to wait an hour & a half because of a mix in the schedule, but they ended up giving us some free time to compensate our trouble, which was good. =D

Here's a few pics of our ride.  And it's not very easy to take pictures while on a walking horse! LOL

First Laetitia on Elvis

Then Morgane on Jujube

Mom & Dad on their own beasts.  Mine was named Tornade and Patrick's Lili

And the whole family

The next door neighbour had this great looking rooster, so I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of it while waiting:

We came back home under the rain and it's still raining today... I sure hope that our last week of vacation will be a nice one weather wise!

Thanks for stopping by! =D

The fun must go on!

Yep, we are still on vacation and we're not letting the so-so weather stop us from having some fun!  On Wednesday we went to the Ecomuseum in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue for the first time. We really loved it.  It's small but cozy and you can really have a good close look at the animals.  Nothing exotic there but yet so interesting because it's our fauna.

Then, yesterday we spent most of the day at the Ste-Hyacinthe Agricultural Fair where we got to see the farm animals, a rodeo and ride a few rides too. (well, the girls got to. LOL)  We almost got drenched a couple of time while there but we were lucky enough to be near some shelter.  Here's some pics from our latest outing:

I don't know what's next yet... we might stay put for a few days since the forcast isn't that great... or not! LOL

Take care all! =D

Some of my fave

We took loads of pictures while we were in Cuba.  I've been trying to go through them to post some for your viewing pleasure.  Here are some of my fave so far from the first few days that we were there:

IMG_2491-1 IMG_2625-1 IMG_2635-1 IMG_2656-1 IMG_2728-1 IMG_2752-1

IMG_2886-1 IMG_2898-1 IMG_2961-1 IMG_2969-1 IMG_3114-1 IMG_3125-1 IMG_3175-1 IMG_3178-1 IMG_3231-1

I think most of them don't need to be explained, minus the first one maybe which was a show held in the pool that we saw on the first Sunday we were there.

Thanks for stopping by! =D
